What To Watch

Lethbridge Point of View

100th For Wong: It was a special night for Hurricanes Captain Tyler Wong on Sunday night despite a 5-3 loss to the Saskatoon Blades. Wong scored twice in the game for the second time this season but his first goal of the night was his 100th career goal, all with the ‘Canes, pulling him into a tie for 13th on the all-time goal scoring list with Mark Greig. Wong then surpassed Greig tying Jason Hegberg for 12th all-time with his second of the night and 101st goal.

Tough Go: The Hurricanes have been sputtering as of late. The last month, in particular has been very tough as the ‘Canes have posted a 2-7-1-1 record in their last 11 games dating back to October 14th when the ‘Canes dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the Vancouver Giants.

Kootenay Point of View

Puck Stopper: Payton Lee has seen a lot of rubber this season. The overage netminder is coming off a 50 save performance last night. He has made 33 or more saves in each of his last eight appearances and in 11 of his 13 games this season.

Zborosky Torching It: After a goal last night, Zak Zborosky now has 14 goals this season to go along with a team high 19 points. Zborosky scored a career high 32 goals and 68 points last season. The overager is on pace to shatter his goal marks as he’s on pace to record 50 goals.
