Tickets for Coaldale Now Available

Wong-CoaldaleThe Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club is excited to announce that tickets for their exhibition game versus the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, September 2nd at the Coaldale Arena are now available.

Advance tickets for the game can be purchased for $10.00 at the Coaldale Food Market. A select amount of walk up tickets will be available on game day, but it recommended to purchase your tickets in advance. In a commitment to supporting their surrounding community, all proceeds from the event are in support of the Coaldale Minor Hockey Association.

As part of the night, CMHA will be presenting NHL and WHL alumni, Stacy Roest, with the associations “Tradition of Excellence” during a pre-game ceremony. Roest, who is now the Director of Player Development for the Tampa Bay Lightning, played his minor hockey with the Coaldale Minor Hockey Association before graduating to the Val Matteoti Golden Hawks in Lethbridge. Roest went on to play five years with the Tigers before appearing in 244 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild. He would eventually retire from hockey in 2012.

The exhibition game in Coaldale is the first of six pre-season games that the Hurricanes will play. Full exhibition schedule:

Friday, September 2, 2016 – Hurricanes vs. Medicine Hat Tigers – 7:00pm in Coaldale
Saturday, September 3, 2016 – Hurricanes at Medicine Hat Tigers – 7:00pm in Taber
Friday, September 9, 2016 – Hurricanes vs. Swift Current Broncos – 7:00pm at ENMAX Centre
Saturday, September 10, 2016 – Hurricanes at Swift Current Broncos – 7:00pm at Credit Union i-Plex
Thursday, September 15, 2016 – Hurricanes at Kootenay Ice – 7:00pm in Crowsnest Pass
Friday, September 16, 2016 – Hurricanes vs. Calgary Hitmen – 7:00pm in Crowsnest Pass

The Hurricanes will begin Rookie Camp on Thursday, August 25th before Main Camp commences on Saturday, August 27th at the ENMAX Centre. The team will play a Red vs. White Intrasquad game on August 30th at the ENMAX Centre – admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item.
