Lethbridge Hurricanes (45-23-1-1) vs. Edmonton Oil Kings (29-33-6-1)
in the final ten minutes of the third period to try and generate a game-tying goal and had some great looks but Lee came up big making countless large saves including a pad stop against Cory Millette. ‘Canes pulled the goalie with 2:19 left in the game; Oil Kings got caught on a sloppy line change resulting in a too-many-men penalty but on the ensuing faceoff, Brett Pollock sprinted through a pair of ‘Canes and rifled the puck down the ice into the empty net while shorthanded to give Edmonton a 4-2 lead. Still with the goalie pulled, Estephan blasted home his 31st of the season with 41 seconds left in the game but the ‘Canes couldn’t muster a tying goal as they dropped a 4-3 decision.
The Hurricanes were outshot 15-13 in the third period and 44-35 overall in the game. The ‘Canes and Oil Kings both went 2/6 on the power play.

The loss was the ‘Canes second consecutive loss as the ended the weekend with a 1-2-0-0 record after beginning the weekend with a convincing win over the Rebels. The Hurricanes fall to 45-23-1-1 on the season with the loss.
The ‘Canes wrap up the regular season with a home-and-home with the Medicine Hat Tigers next weekend. The ‘Canes host the Tigers on Friday night before traveling to Med Hat on Saturday night.
