The Break Down

The Lethbridge Hurricanes kick off a three-game BC Division road trip tonight with designs of winning their 11th straight game when they visit the Victoria Royals at 8:00pm MT.

The Hurricanes are riding a 10-game winning streak after blanking the Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday night at the ENMAX Centre in Lethbridge. Giorgio Estephan, Kord Pankewicz and Egor Babenko all scored in the game while Stuart Skinner made 34 saves for his second straight shutout.

The win for the Hurricanes improved their overall record to a WHL-best 36-12-0-0 on the season.

Tonight will be the final of two meetings on the season between the ‘Canes and Royals. The Hurricanes won the first contest on October 27th at the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria 4-3 in a shootout in what was the first of a five-game BC Division swing.

The Royals are having a great season as they enter tonight with a record of 29-15-2-3 on the season and sit second in the Western Conference. The Royals are riding a six game point streak as they have collected at least a point in their last six outings going 5-0-1-0 in that span.

Tune in on Lethbridge Kia Hurricanes Hockey on ROCK 106 starting 7:45pm.
