Lethbridge Point of View
Top 10, Again: For the second time this season, the Hurricanes have cracked the CHL’s BMO Top 10 rankings for Week 12 as they came in at #10. The ‘Canes were also listed as #10 on the Week 8 rankings and was named an Honourable Mention in the Week 6 edition of the Top 10.
Guts Rolling: Hurricanes overage forward Justin Gutierrez has been rolling along lately. In his last 11 games, the Anchorage, Alaska product has racked up 18 points (11g-7a). Gutierrez has scored at least one goal in seven of his last 10 games. He was named the WHL Player of the Week from November 23-29th.
Prince Albert Point of View
Gardiner Great: Reid Gardiner has been outstanding this season for the Raiders. The 19-year-old forward went undrafted in the NHL Draft last year despite scoring 34 goals and 64 points. Gardiner’s taken exception to that as he is well on pace to shatter those two previous totals. This year, he has already scored 20 goals and 43 points in 31 games.
1-Goal Games: The Raiders this year have been nearly lights out in one goal games this season. PA has played in a total of 13 single goal games posting an impressive 9-1-2-1 record in those games. Eight of those 13 games have been decided in overtime or shootout.
