The Hurricanes are coming off a 5-3 loss on Sunday afternoon in Regina that completed a three-game road trip. The ‘Canes, despite playing strong enough to win all three games, went 0-3-0-0 on the weekend with losses to the Pats, Brandon Wheat Kings and Moose Jaw Warriors.
Despite the three game skid, the Hurricanes still sit second in the Central Division, only behind the Red Deer Rebels, with a record of 12-8-0-0 on the season.
The Silvertips are coming off a 2-0 win last night in Kootenay to kick off a four-game Central Division road trip. The ‘Tips currently sit second in the US Division with a record of 11-5-0-1 on the season and have won three straight games coming into play tonight.

Everett Point of View
Lone Meeting: Tonight will be the only meeting of the season against the Everett Silvertips for the Hurricanes. Last year, the ‘Tips took a 5-4 decision in Everett on February 22nd. The Hurricanes last beat the Silvertips on November 2nd, 2011 when they picked up a 4-3 shootout win at the ENMAX Centre.
Super Stingy: The Silvertips, while battling for second place in the US Division, don’t score a lot of goals or allow a lot of goals. Through their first 16 games, Everett has scored a league-low 38 goals. The juxtaposition to that is that they also have allowed the least amount of goals surrendering just 33. They outscore their opposition on average 2.38 to 2.06.
