‘Canes Reassign Kitt

Lethbridge HurricanesThe Lethbridge Hurricanes announced today that they have reassigned 18-year-old forward Brett Kitt to the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (Junior-A).

Kitt was acquired from the Brandon Wheat Kings along with Ryley Lindgren and Kord Pankewicz in the Reid Duke and Macoy Erkamps trade. In 28 games this season with Lethbridge and Brandon, Kitt amassed two assists and 65 penalty minutes.

Following the WHL’s January 10th trade deadline, General Manager and Head Coach announced the team has also assigned LW Brett Kitt to Flin Flon in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Kitt was acquired from the Brandon Wheat Kings earlier in the season, along with Ryley Lindgren and Kord Pankewicz when the team traded Macoy Erkamps, Reid Duke and prospect Tak Anholt to the Wheat Kings.

The 1996-born forward played in 28 games with Lethbridge registering two assists, a minus-5 plus/minus rating and 65 penalty minutes.

The Hurricanes thank Brett for all his work and commitment and wish him well with the Flin Flon Bombers.
