The Break Down

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are coming off a 5-4 overtime loss a night ago to the hands of the Eastern Conference leading Brandon Wheat Kings. The ‘Canes have collected at least a point in five of their last six games with a record of 4-1-1-0 in that span.

The ‘Canes are starting to score goals as well having scored four or more in three of their last four games. The ‘Canes have been playing well as a team and only sit three points out of fifth place in the Eastern Conference and two out of the final wild card playoff spot held by Prince Albert.

Meanwhile, the Kootenay ICE are off to a dismal start to the season having dropped their last seven games. Kootenay is off to a 3-13-0-0 start, but received great news Friday after learning that Sam Reinhart has been re-assigned by the Buffalo Sabres.

What To Watch

Lethbridge Point of View

Picking Up Points: The Hurricanes have picked up points in five of their last six games. The ‘Canes have a 4-1-1-0 record in that span after falling in overtime 5-4 to the Brandon Wheat Kings last night in Lethbridge

Wong-derful: Tyler Wong has been tremendous as of late. The Cochrane, AB, native has collected points in 8 of his last 9 games and has four goals in his last two games including a hat trick against Prince Albert on Wednesday

Kootenay Point of View

Sam I Am: Sam Reinhart, who was taken second overall in this past years NHL entry draft, has been re-assigned to the ICE from the Buffalo Sabres. He may, or may not, be in the line up. If he is, Kootenay just got a whole lot better.

Losing Skid: The ICE have lost seven straight games after falling 7-3 last night to the Red Deer Rebels. Kootenay currently sits last place in the WHL with a 3-13-0-0 record.
